    Jarrad Branthwaite bid

Everton turned down Manchester United’s “unacceptable” £35million opening offer for Jarrad Branthwaite.

The Toffees value Branthwaite at £70m, despite reports that United agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old defender.

The centre-back emerged as one of the Red Devils’ priority targets during the summer transfer window.

As such the Merseysiders will demand a premium for the England international amid concerns over their compliance with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.

But club chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe is not prepared to overpay for Branthwaite and is reluctant to meet the asking price.

So much so that the Red Devils have initially offered only half of Everton’s valuation.

    Reiss Nelson message

Arsenal ace Reiss Nelson has allegedly told the club he is considering leaving, just a year after penning a new long-term deal.

According to The Athletic, Nelson's time at the Emirates could be coming to an end as his game-time has been limited over the past season.

After making just one Premier League start, the winger is now weighing-up his future.

And the 24-year-old has allegedly informed manager Mikel Arteta as well as club chiefs of his intention to “assess” his options before returning to pre-season.

The Gunners will be looking for a transfer fee of around £20million for Nelson if both parties agree a move away is the best option.

Both Crystal Palace and West Ham want to keep the forward in London, while Nottingham Forest have also shown interest in bringing him to the City Ground.

Manchester City star Jack Grealish faces a crucial summer as he battles to get his career back on track after falling out of favour at England and the Etihad in the last 12 months.

The winger's move to Manchester is due to be rubber-stamped in the coming weeks and manager Pep Guardiola wants a good look at him in pre-season.

Guardiola remains a huge fan of Grealish but there are question marks over whether he has the attitude and desire which the Catalan tactician demands.

Chelsea have agreed a sensational £42million deal to sign Aston Villa ace Jhon Duran.

Duran is said to be pushing for a move to Stamford Bridge ahead of the summer transfer window.

The striker is already reckoned to be in contract talks with the Blues who are looking to agree personal terms.

The West Londoners opted against a winter move despite Armando Broja's Fulham loan and Christopher Nkunku's latest injury setback.

But Colombian outletEn La Jugada RCNclaims a deal to take the 20-year-old to London is finally in the making.

    Michael Olise blow

Chelsea have been dealt a major blow after sources claimed that they are unable to trigger Crystal Palace star Michael Olise's release clause.

This comes after the Blues contacted Palace over a move for Olise in the summer transfer window.

But the West Londoners had hoped to trigger the £60million release clause through a structured transfer package of instalments this summer.

But now it is understood that the winger's release clause in his contract is far from straightforward.

In fact, it can only be triggered by a Champions League club, according to The Telegraph.

This comes as a huge blow to Chelsea after they failed to qualify for next season's edition of Europe's top competition.

    Cun & get him

A Man Utd legend has urged the club to sign Wolves striker Matheus Cunha.

Erik ten Hag is looking to strengthen his defence as a priority but is also keen on bringing in help up top for 21-year-old Rasmus Hojlund.

And Cunha, who scored 14 goals and grabbed eight assists last term, would be the ideal man.

That is according to ex-United forward Louis Saha, who said: “Every time I see him play, he’s very creative, very powerful, he can break any line, and that kind of skill he’s got is the missing link that United need.

“He’s a player that’s capable of accelerating the game, whether that’s by him passing the ball or dribbling, and he possesses a lot of quality.

“I would not be surprised and I have no doubts that with some stronger players around him, he can be a terrific player.”

    LIND LOVE

Everton are allegedly eyeing up Victor Lindelof as a replacement for Jarrad Brantwaite.

Reports have suggested that the Red Devils have agreed terms with the defender but have had a £45m opening bid rejected.

Now a fresh report from HITC has claimed: “Everton have identified potential replacements for English defender Jarrad Branthwaite, who is edging closer to a move to Manchester United.

“One player who the Toffees have targeted in the past is Victor Lindelof, with the Red Devils open to allowing the Swedish defender to leave Old Trafford this summer.

“Lindelof has been in and out of the United team this season but with the club closing in on bringing in Branthwaite to Old Trafford, the former Benfica man may believe the time is right to move on.”

Utd might have to beg and borrow to land Yoro!

Manchester United have reportedly made an opening offer for Lille’s £100million-rated Leny Yoro.

That would be a remarkable development – just 24 hours after the Red Devils are said to have agreed terms with Jarrad Branthwaite.

Everton want at least £70m for the 21-year-old.

So to chase two such expensive centre-backs is a huge sign of intent.

Red Devils ‘only offer £45m in all for Jarrad’

Manchester United’s initial bids to land Jarrad Branthwaite faces ridicule.

A sum of £35milion was mentioned earlier today and now it’s thought the figure would only reach £45m with add-ons.

That compares to Everton’s reported valuation of £70m-plus for the England centre-back.

United reportedly agreed personal terms with the 21-year-od yesterday.

But it’s thought the Toffees would reject the Red Devils’ approach once, as they hope, a club take-over is completed.
