    Purpose

    Provide advanced professional skills in academic program coordination, advising, and strategic plan implementation while maintaining frequent interaction with students, alumni, faculty, staff, external agencies and special groups. Coordinate daily program operations with a focus on student engagement, event management, faculty support, and managing internal/external vendor partnerships.

    ResponsibilitiesProgram Coordination

    • Lead planning and execution of academic immersions in Austin, Dallas, New York City, Washington, D.C. and one to two international locations annually.
    • Plan and coordinate program logistics such as class weekends, catering, parking, events, etc.
    • Supervise administrative staff.
    • Manage program budgets and expenditures.

    Student Affairs

    • Serve as the main advisor for current EMBA students on academic policies, campus resources, electives, etc.
    • Monitor student progress and academic standing. Maintain accurate student records and uphold all obligations related to FERPA.
    • Coordinate program communications (newsletters, just-in-time-announcements)

    Stakeholder Coordination

    • Collaborate with faculty, career education, admissions, and other School and University stakeholders to ensure EMBA program is delivered successfully

    Strategic Initiatives

    • Gather student feedback and contribute to continuous feedback.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five years of experience in program administration or coordination.
    • Ability to work flexible hours including evening and weekends.
    • Demonstrated ability to work well on a team but also to work effectively independently.
    • A commitment to providing excellent administrative support to students and faculty.
    • Proven ability to exercise high levels of discretion and judgement, providing practical solutions in the resolution of complex issues.
    • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage a large volume of data with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook, and web-based programs.

    Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in Higher Education or similar field.
    • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly collaborative, respond well to feedback, work well as part of a dynamic work environment, skilled at dealing with both internal and external customers, effective at prioritizing tasks and initiatives, and learn quickly.
    • Experience working with graduate student populations.
    • Knowledge of self-funded graduate programs.

    Salary Range

    $55,000 - $58,000 + depending on qualifications

    Working Conditions

    • May work around standard office conditions (shared office space provided with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation).
    • Primary work location is Austin, TX (UT Austin campus) and is eligible for hybrid work.
    • Regular weekday hours required. Work hours will flex according to program commitments, and require regular weekend and evening availability as well as travel.

    Employment Eligibility:Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers.     Retirement Plan Eligibility:The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
