King Jr. Poole's sister told the coroner she heard a gunshot about 12:15 a.m. and found the youth taking his pistol apart in his bedroom. She said about an hour later she heard another shot but did not go and investigate. Coroner King said the girl found her brother dead on his bed approximately 15 minutes later, when she went to tell him he had a telephone call.
